Gatwick Airport

Wednesday 2nd July 2014

I arrived at Gatwick Airport at 12:25pm.

I am so excited to be here, this is my first time here in London!

I will be living with my teacher Ms Beverley Silvera.

 

 

Thursday 3rd July 2014 

My first day of class

Cultural visit, shopping and free time!

We learnt about how to behave in the UK, we learnt about rules and customs. Then we had communication lessons about UK rules.

Today my teacher and I are visiting the Centre of  London, I travelled by underground. We took the tube from Camden Town, and stopped off at Leicester Square and took another tube to go to Piccadilly Circus.

In the Centre of London we visited lot of places for example China Town, Carnaby Street,  Regent Street, Camden Town, Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square and Oxford Circus. For me these places are very nice.

When I visited these places we saw a lot of things for example a typical red bus and black taxi’s of London. The M&M store, telephone boxes, souvenirs shops, a toy store called Hamley’s, Nike Town and many more things.

Before we came home we walked up Primrose Hill and we took photos of  London city and then came back home and had dinner.

 

 

 

Friday 7th July 2014

My English Lesson

Today is a very sunny day we are going to the park for our lesson. We are going to practice Thursday’s lesson again. We talked about:

1. What to say if you want to make yourself a drink?

2. What to say if you do not hear something someone says to you?

3. What to say if you want to talk to your teacher but she/he isn’t looking at you?

4. What to say if someone sneezes?

5. What to say if you want to have dinner later than usual?

6. What to say if you want to go out of the room for a few minutes?

7. What to say if you want someone to pass you the salt  at dinner?

8. What to say if you want to buy something?

 

We are going to start a new exercise about London in a day. I have to plan a day trip for my family in London.

 

The World Cup

In the evening I watched two matches:

France 0-1 Germany

Brasil 2-1 Colombia

I was a little sad because France lost, I was also unhappy because J.Rodriguez played very well but his team Colombia lost.

It’s an other sunny day in London, and I’m very happy because we are going to visit a lot of places. We walked through Green Park and we saw the Tour de France exhibition, there were a lot of people and I was very surprised.

Then we went to Buckingham Palace, I thought that it was a beautiful building and I took a lo of photos. There was a lot of people there, and a lot of people Spanish too.

St.James Park is next to Buckingham Palace, there were squirrels, swans, a lot of birds and a lot of people. St.James Park for me is peaceful and is a relaxing place for me. Beverley prepared a picnic for us.

Then we went to Downing Street, this is where the prime minister lives and his name is David Cameron.

We then walked towards Big Ben, when I saw Big Ben I was surprise because it is very big and very nice.

After seeing Big Ben I saw Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament.

And finally we went home had dinner and watched the football

 

The world cup 

In the evening I watched two matches:

Argentina 1-0 Belgium

Holland 0-0 Costa Rica

In the penalties Holland won 5-3

 

 

 

 

Sunday 6th July 2014

London Eye

Today is a special day, because we are going to London Eye. Beverley, Irina and I are going to visit The Centre of London, where the London Eye is.

First we went to lunch I had spaghetti bolognese, Irina had Margarita pizza and Beverley had fish nuggets with frits.

After lunch we walked to London Eye, I saw London Eye it is very big and very impressive. Irina and I collected our tickets and then we went on to London Eye. London Eye is a giant ferris wheel  on the south bank of the river Thames in London. It is the most popular paid tourist attraction in the United Kingdom with over 3.5 million visitors annually.

When I finished London Eye  I was very impressed and happy because I saw all of London from the sky.

Cultural Visit

 

My English Lesson

We played a talking game, I had to answer as many question as possible about my life, country and family.

I started creating my London Blog!

Beverley, Irina and I are going to Camden Town today

 

Camden Town

Camden Town is an inner city district of London, Camden is well known for its markets. The markets are a major tourist attraction at weekends, selling goods of all types, including fashion, lifestyle, books, food, junk/antiques and more bizarre items; they and the surrounding shops are popular with young people, in particular those searching for ” alternative clothing ”

When I went to Camden I bought a T-shirt of pictures of London, Beverley, Irina and I walked around Camden, there are a lot of people, it is very noisy, there are Spanish people too and I love it.

After that we walked to the organic supermarket, called whole foods, we bought some shopping and went home. For dinner I had rice, chicken and salad and we saw ” Bad Boys the movie ‘ with Will Smith in the movie.

Today we are going to visit three famous places, these places are spectacular.

I practised my previous English lesson.  And worked on my London Blog!

Then I will be going to the park with my teacher to play with a Boomerang!

After that I will be going to the cinema with my teacher’s friend Irina to watch TRANSFORMERS  Age of the Extinction.

I was  going to go Kayaking TODAY!  But I am tired so I am going to watch a film called EIGHT BELOW!

What is Kayaking?

Kayaking is the use of a kayak for moving across water. It is distinguished from canoeing by the sitting position of the paddler and the number of blades on the paddle. A kayak is defined by the International Canoe Federation as a boat where the paddler faces forward, legs in front, using a double-bladed paddle.
